On purpose
On purpose The EMCC coaching, mentoring and supervision conference in Amsterdam 11-13 April was memorable, with so many excellent sessions. Thank you to everyone involved. As usual it was difficult to choose between several interesting speakers and workshops. In her session entitled “Corporate Soul” about understanding your purpose, one of the the speakers, Gillian McMichael used a wonderful quote from Mark Twain: “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” She advocated asking ourself three questions as we explore the “why”:
- How do I want to make a difference?
- How do I want to be remembered?
- What kind of legacy do I want to leave behind?
