CCA book launch Tuesday 29 November 0800 and 2000 GMT

We are delighted to invite you to the launch of the first CCA book Ecological and Climate-Conscious Coaching- A Companion Guide to Evolving Coaching Practice.  Places are free and the links to register are below.

Get an experiential taste of the book that takes you on a seven-day journey with some of the book guides: 70 coaches, poets, story tellers and thought-leaders from around the world.  The journey is hosted by Eve Turner, Josie McLean and Peter Hawkins with other global contributors and draws on material from our co-editor, the late Alison Whybrow as we celebrate 3 years since the co-founding of the CCA by Alison, Josie and Eve.

Through storytelling, poetry and other creative approaches, the book launch takes in all 5 phases of the Eco-phase cycle: eco-curious, eco-informed, eco-aware, eco-engaged and eco-active.  It will give people a glimpse of the material, which will allow readers to follow this programme alone or with others and take a practical and empowering look at the impact of the climate emergency on our practice and how we might respond.

The book can be pre-ordered from end October with 20% off using code FLA22 via Routledge websites https://www.routledge.com/Ecological-and-Climate-Conscious-Coaching-A-Companion-Guide-to-Evolving/Whybrow-Turner-McLean-Hawkins/p/book/9780367722005 .  All author royalties from this first Climate Coaching Alliance book will go to the international charity Stop Ecocide International, matched by a donation from the publishers.

Quotes from some of the reviews:

‘How can coaches and mentors be concerned for the wellbeing of their clients if they avoid discussing the very environment in which the work takes place?… By turns philosophical, practical, spiritual and realistic, this fascinating and necessary read offers productive ways out of denial and into action.’

Margaret Heffernan, CEO and Author, Wilful Blindness and Uncharted

‘This book is timely and essential. Drawing the reader in with captivating stories from contributors across the world, the authors approach climate and ecological crisis in a fresh and thoughtful way. Coaching is on a path to reinvention, and this book will quickly become a staple of the new curriculum. A must read!’

Dr. Marshall Goldsmith, Thinkers50 #1 Executive Coach and New York Times bestselling author of Triggers, Mojo, and What Got You Here Won’t Get You There

‘Some books are important. This one is essential. I implore all coaches to both read and engage with the journey it offers. The world and our future demands no less.’

Professor David A Lane, Professional Development Foundation
